Turkey Hunts

 

The Santa Gertrudis Creek winds through Las Palmas providing superb Rio Grande Turkey habitat. As a result, Las Palmas carries one of the largest turkey populations in the area, year round. South Texas has two turkey hunting seasons per year. The first season coincides with whitetail deer season and runs from November to early January. The second season runs from mid-March through April. 

 

Turkey hunts at Las Palmas are one of the most adrenaline packed hunts we offer. We normally hunt them in ground blinds or on foot and recommend full camo and the use of calls and decoys. This combination results in close encounters and an amazing experience for both gun and bow hunters.
